Seeking
Searching
Moving through life
Ever watchful
Each passing face
eyes meeting
Then slipping away
waiting for some spark
to recognition.
Seeking
Searching
moving through this life
eyes meeting
a spark is felt
soft smile
connection made
held
the rush felt
when hands first collide
Fingers intertwine
lips meld
bodies lock
two become one
the connection is made
held.
Tired of the dance we do - you ask - “what do you want” I evade
avoid
too afraid to tell you the truth
“what do you want?”
to not be afraid that you will be overwhelmed by my answer.
“what do you want?”
to be tangled up in you
feel my breath catch
“what do you want?”
to remember always
the first time I saw you
and knew for certain
you would be a part of me
in away no one ever had.
“what do you want?”
THIS - this nameless thing that has always existed
between us - this chemistry, this connection, this comfort,
this passion - THIS - YOU - US
“what do you want?”
Everything and Nothing.
Words
our life’s blood.
They cleanse
They clarify
They rationalize
They heal
Words
our closest
friends
and
dreaded Enemies
They tie
They bind
They wound
They divide
Words
Our common thread
They ties us
together
Bound by a
common love
They cleanse us
Heal us
when little
else
can
Words
Our current Barrier
They rationalize
the wounds
we inflict
upon
each other
Dividing us
For any kind words
whispered but not heard
The intent
must be more
closely examined
for words
meant to
comfort
missed their mark
For tender
trespasses
of a
too eager
friend
One can
only use
these
meaningless
things
words
to gain
understanding
and
forgiveness
